Soccer BettingThere are many things that a bettor should know while placing bets on sports like Soccer. Soccer, an American game, has some very unique but common terms that are used widely by the bookies as well as the bettors. Following is a list of those commonly used terms that one must know:

Accumulator:
Accumulator is a type of a bet in which the bettor can place his win from one bet on another bet that is next in line. This causes the winning amount to collect and the final amount turns into a large return amount. The biggest disadvantage of this bet is that if the bettor loses any of the bets then all the previous wins are lost too.

Arbitrage: The Arbitrage bet is a combination of bets that has better profits associated with it. Under this bet the bookmaker declares a price that is not according to the normal market rates. These rates tend to fluctuate.

Asian Handicap:

Asian betting is a type of spread betting used in soccer. Its name is so because of its origins in Asia. It is good for the bookmakers because it minimizes risks and it is bad for the bookmakers because the markets offer low margins. This bet is more popular in Asia.

Banker:

The banker bet has higher probability of winning since the odds are lesser than or equal to 1.5 in these bets.

Betting Exchange:

Under the Betting Exchange bet the bettors can place their bets against each other through a betting exchange that will keep the commission from the winning bettor.

Book Value:

The book value means where the bookie builds odds for an over round. This type of bet is quite similar to the payout.

Decimal odds:

Under the decimal odds, the odds are displayed in terms of decimal numbers and the stakes are included in the total cost.
Double:
2 bets can be placed during a double.

Double chance:
In a double chance the bettor can place a bet on 2 separate results. The odds for this bet are very less but the possibility of winning the bet is more.

Draw no bet:
Under the draw no bet, whenever a situation of draw arises the bet money is given back to the bettor.

Each Way Bet:
Each way is also a bet and the bet is quite similar to the one in horse racing. The bettor wins if the choices he opted for comes at even the second, third or the fourth place. Half the bet is placed on a straight win and the remaining half is placed on the other four places.

Evens:
An even bet doubles your money on winning the bet.

Fixed odds betting:
Here the betting amount is fixed and the bettor already knows what he is going to win.

Odds against:
Here the odds for a bet are greater than evens.

Odds on:
Here the odds for a bet are less than evens.

Score cast:
Under the score cast bet the bettor tries to foretell the correct score and the first goal score.

Three-way betting or 1X2:
This type of bet includes betting on three types of bets. The bettor can place a win bet by marking 1, a draw by marking X and an away win by marking a 2.

Void bet:
Void bets occur when the bet draws. Void bet also results when the match on which the bet was placed are abandoned or postponed.
